DESCRIPTION:The following event is done in collaboration with Temple Beth Am Library’s Sunday Salons: \n\n\n\nA Forgotten Land: Growing up in the Jewish Pale.\n\n\n\nPresented by Lisa Cooper\, live from Great Britain.  \n\n\n\n\n\nLisa Cooper is a British writer\, journalist\, and artist. She studied Russian at Edinburgh University and spent a year in the Soviet Union as a student. Armed with an address dating from the 1960s and a family tree\, she contacted cousins in Kiev\, then part of Soviet Ukraine\, who introduced her to a web of relatives she knew nothing about.
