DESCRIPTION:Discussion group at Temple Beth Am Reading Room (Library) administered by Sunday Salon with the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Miami \n\n\n\nMay 21\, 2024\, at 10:30 am \n\n\n\nIs the marriage institute still relevant? \n\n\n\nThe program is in observance of Lag BaOmer – a traditional day of marriage in the Jewish communities. \n\n\n\nMichael Milgrom\, scholar\, Jewish modern orthodox\, will introduce the Jewish marriage rituals and tradition. His presentation is a 40-minute video prepared for the event. Afterwards\, we continue with “Show and Tell” encouraging the participants to comment on or show personal heirlooms in their possession connected to marriage (rings\,  Ketubah).
